Scott Cowan

Scott Cowan carries on a mixed trial and appellate practice across Ontario and Nunavut. Scott received his LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan in 2000 and completed his articles with Greenspan, Henein & White in 2001, and commenced his career practicing in Toronto as an associate at Derstine Penman.

In 2012, Scott completed his LL.M. in Criminal Law and Procedure at Osgoode Hall Law School. He has served as an Adjunct Professor in Criminal Procedure and Youth Justice at the Faculty of Law - University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the Legal Aid Area Committee at London and has served as a Regional Director of the Criminal Lawyers' Association, and as a member of Innocence Canada's review committee. He is Past-President of the Huron Law Association,

He has been tapped as an authority on criminal law by Peter Mansbridge on The National, CFRB radio, The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, National Post, and London Free Press.

Ben Scholten

Ben Scholten received his LL.B. from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2015. He completed his articles with Cowan Law Chambers, and was called to the Law Society of Upper Canada in July 2017. Since then, he has practiced criminal law in Southwestern Ontario.

Ben is a member of the Huron Law Association, and of the London Region Legal Aid Panel. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Huron Perth Community Legal Clinic since 2016.
